UAE approvals are high. The money and the eligibility are where people lose.
Indian applicants are approved at a high rate, so the problem here isn't refusal — it's paying three times the government fee, choosing the wrong visa type, or applying when you were already entitled to enter without one.

Check whether you need a paid visa at all
Indian passport holders carrying a valid visa or residence permit from certain countries can obtain entry on arrival instead. If that's you, we'll tell you — and charge you nothing.
You may not need a pre-arranged visa if you hold
Passport must be valid at least six months, and the foreign visa or permit must be unexpired.
- A valid US visa, US green card, or a valid UK or EU visa or residence permit
- A valid residence permit from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea or Singapore
What the government charges, and what you're really being quoted
The government fee is fixed. Insurance, the typing-centre charge and the agent's service fee are not — which is why the same visa is quoted at wildly different prices. We show all three lines separately.
Tourist & visit visas — Indian passport holders
Varies by emirate & channel| Visa | Stay | Government fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tourist — 30 day, single entry | 30 days from entry | AED 200 | Most common. Visa typically valid 60 days from issue. |
| Tourist — 60 day, single entry | 60 days from entry | AED 300 | For longer family visits. |
| Tourist — 30 / 60 day, multiple entry | Per entry, within validity | Higher tier | Priced above single entry. Confirm on the portal. |
| Pre-approved entry permit | Short visit | approx. AED 253 | Around 48 hours to process. |
| Transit — 48 hour / 96 hour | 48 or 96 hours | Airline-arranged | Usually handled by the carrier. |
| 5-year multiple entry, self-sponsored | Up to 90 days per visit, extendable by 90; max 180 days per calendar year | See portal | No sponsor, employer or host needed. Requires roughly USD 4,000 held for the six months before applying. No work rights. |
| Extension of a visit permit | Total stay capped at 120 days | See portal | Extendable once or more by the issuing authority. |
Dubai-issued visas are handled by GDRFA. Every other emirate goes through ICP. Applying to the wrong authority wastes the fee. Status checks on both portals are free — nobody should charge you for one.
What you need to apply
Standard tourist visa from India.
- Passport valid at least six months from entry, clear colour scan of front and back pages
- Photograph meeting UAE specification — wrong background or size alone causes rejection
- Confirmed return flight ticket
- Hotel booking or host details covering the full stay
- Bank statements showing you can support yourself
- Medical insurance valid for the UAE
- Name spelled exactly as in the passport, on every document
What gets people rejected
Almost all of it is correctable before filing.
- Name mismatch between passport and supporting documents — the most common Indian-applicant trigger
- An unresolved record. A past overstay, unpaid fine, or an old visa still active in the system will auto-reject a new application until it's cleared
- Wrong visa category for the actual purpose of travel
- Thin financial proof or statements that don't cover the period
- Photo specification failures
